OMG, I'm so fickle!

  • Oct. 12th, 2009 at 11:26 PM

I'm lemming for a new bag currently. I wish to have a plain leather bag (not considering Louis Vuitton as I have too many already)
Given a budget of S$3000,
should I get a Balenciaga City Giant Covered S$2899, Miu Miu Nappa Charm, S$2140 or a Gucci Leather Tote S$2120?

This is a Black (I'm actually considering the A/W Pourpre (Deep Red)

I'm also in love with these Miu Miu bags, I can't find the exact colors i want online, so the above are pictures of how the bag looks nice.
There's also a Bow Hobo Bag in fumo which i quite like too. I'm opting the Coffer out because the shoulder top handles are tad hard to my liking.

So many to choose from that we get swayed left right centre. LOL
I'm open to other bag suggestions, please help me decide! :P
Show me pictures! Something which i can bring for work yet suitable for the weekends

A small splurge

  • May. 2nd, 2009 at 1:25 AM

hhmm,,,
Recently, i have been spending on Mac brushes (even though I have their SE ones already)
I somehow feel that their standard sizes have better "feel" on picking up the colors and better application.

So i got
(1) 239 Eye Shadow Brush $47
(2) 217 Blending Brush $33
(3) 188 Small Stippling Brush $61 (not in the picture as i got the 188 two days after i took this picture)

I also got additonal eye shadows from Bobbi Brown in Taupe (Powder) & Galaxy (Cream) :)
Galaxy is a lovely color!

Also, i happen to be at Metro (yesterday) to check out some of their beauty promos (as my moisturizer is finishing soon)
I passed by Kenzo and realised that they are selling Skincare products, so the SA was really patient with me and explained to me
their best sellers and stuffs. She gave me tons to samples to try!

Alot of samples right? Really excites me! :P

I search the forums for reviews on Kenzo products but not much success.
Too many to list so i'm not going to elaborate one by one.

So far, I have tried some of the samples....
NightWatcher $105 50ml (Night Serum) which repairs while i sleep.
Cosmic Cosmetic Cream $105 50ml (Night Cream) smells v nice.

I have used them both together for two night already, and when i wake up in the morning, I can feel that my face is really soft and nice to touch. I have also tried their Melt on Contact Gel $78 (50ml) (for Combo-Oily skin) but I don't quite like the smell of it (Bamboo smells cause of Bamboo water in the ingredients). BUT it really seeps into my skin right upon application. If u don't mind the smell, i think it's quite a good product.

Will review on the rest once i test on them, i will be testing on Ice Cold Eye Cream and Vital Ice Cream the next round, great for toning up our face.

Anyone else using Kenzoki products? Do let me know whether they work on you! :)

Bobbi Brown Class

  • Apr. 19th, 2009 at 1:53 AM

I know i'm not fantastic in make-up especially i'm still trying to figure how i can contour my puffy eyes.
but i think it's a little waste of time going to the classes.

BUT it will be really good for first timers as they teach basics like foundation, concealer, blush, lippy, eyeshadow and eyeliner.
All these I know liao,,,, they don't hv time to teach us how to do nice smoky eyes, or evening eyes, get what i mean?

Anyway, since after the class, i got vouchers fully redeemable, i brought these back today.

(1) Vitamin Enriched Face Base (one of BB's top seller product) I like the smell of it
(2) Eyeshadow in Champagne Quartz, Sable (bought eariler), Forest (from left-right)
(3) Eye Smudge Brush, i know this is ex but I have been trying to find one with the texture that i like. $46 *sweat*
(4) Powder Face Brush.

Ok, didn't want to get (4) cause i didn't need it at all, but since i need to top up some $ some freebies, and the leather pouch looks too cute like a mini LV speedy bag. I got it in the end.
Anyway, am in the midst of getting more of better brushes from Bobbi and Mac.

Remember this which i mentioned that I got it from JB recently?
I finally got the shades for the effects which i want to create.

These colors are probably very boring to you BUT they suit my skintone V V well!
haha...

Loving them!

Also, because i spent $200 and above today, Robinson gave me a $20 voucher (which I'm supposed to redeem by 26th of April)
I used it on Shu Uemura refill.

I actually bought a 2-way foundation set late last year from Metro BUT the SA recommeded the wrong shade to me. It was my 1st time getting Shu Uemura and she recommended wrongly! Waste my $$$ :( the refill is not cheap, sigh!
I was using Clarins, MAC and Chanel before, thought i could try Shu. So far, I love Chanel's DP foundation.
If Shu doesn't work for me, i will get back to Chanel.

My happy little picks today...

  • Apr. 4th, 2009 at 10:57 PM

After talking about Etude....

I happen to pop by JB to run some errands today,
so since I'm there, might as well pop by City Square as well to check out the promotions for Etude. hehe

Mainly skincare produtcs selling sets at promotional prices.
What i picked today...

(1) Etude Vital Firm Massage Serum 45ml - RM65.90 (wanted something for lifting as well as for hydration so got this to try.
(2) Etude Peach Cheek Blush #5 - RM34.90
(3) Etude Dr Mascara Fixer Perfect Lash - RM27.90

Etude which i bought from JB def. cheaper than getting from local sprees cause i don't hv to worry about paying handling fees as well as getting parcels lost via mails. They gave me some Aqua Sherbet samples to try too.

(4) Face Shop Lippie only RM24.90 (RM5 discount during sale)
(5) Bobbi Brown 3 Pan Palette only RM40 (SG selling SGD28 for this!)

Enjoy girls... :)

Etude is so pretty

  • Apr. 3rd, 2009 at 10:54 PM

I was in Korea two years ago and already noticed that brands like Faceshop, Skinfood, Laneige as well as Etude house
were everywhere, especially Etude House decor which is so pretty like a princess. Too pink to my liking though.

Now that Etude House is open just beside The Face Shop, it's def hassle-free for Singaporeans like us to visit in JB
instead of flying all the way to Korea.

Anyway, I was told by the SA that Etude house will be having a sale on their skincare products in April '09, so girls check out City Square when you are there. :)

Here's a lovely advert for viewing, i think it's a really good one from Etude.

btw: The Face Shop in JB carries Lemon and Apple Hand Cream (not available in SG) so check out when you are there too! heh

Seriously, I'm supposed to hold all my beauty buys @ DFS as I'm flying in 1 week's time. *frown*
I was flipping thru the March Female Magazine, when I noticed the Mac Special attached.

Got really excited that they will be launching exclusively at Tangs 6th March (today)

I was supposed to get a Mac Brush set from the previous collection (cause I wanted 187 stippling badly) but the pouch wasn't nice so I din't attempt to.

BUT this time, i really can't resist though I have no use for the brush holder since i got one from Anna Sui already.
$100 for the whole set of 3 brushes + 1 brush holder was too good to pass.

I hope you girls got your Mac Kitties in time cause I managed to do a reservation in the morning before heading to Vivocity to get the items. (I knew Orchard def. no chance) hahaah :P

These pictures are taken from the attached Mac Special Poster

What happen to my LiveJournal?

  • Feb. 20th, 2009 at 12:24 AM

I wonder what has happened to my Livejournal, some of my entries were gone!
And I have difficulty editing my entries. *sob*

Thus, I guess I will have no choice but to do some re-vamping of this journal from now on.
I will be deleting the old entries soon as they are v messy now.

Anyway, what I did today...

Was at Hougang Mall this evening with friend for dinner when I passed by a particular shop nearby the mall
selling working suits, actually i passed by that shop tons of time no knowing that they are selling suits cause outside the shop were racks of other clothings which are totally not related to working class clothings at all. LOL

The suit is cream in color with lovely chocolate ribbon and pipings on the jacket. $90
(Picture attaching soon)

Bossini is also having an atrium clearance on the 1st level of Hougang Mall.
Bought two camisoles for only $14!
(Picture attaching soon)
